After he fled the bar, Gavin went for a walk around the neighborhood to clear his head. He thought about his relationship with Zoe, and how no matter how he felt about her, he still needed to go home to his wife and talk things out. When he got there, she wasn’t downstairs, so he went into the bedroom…
And found her with another man.

But Athena did not go home to her husband. Instead, she went back downstairs to the bar and started chatting up Paolo. At least, that’s what he said his name was.
She really didn’t care.
She just cared that he would be a distraction from what Gavin had done.
A: Hey, you filthy little homewrecker.
Athena was done with this, she had to take matters into her own hands. She would show this little tramp not to mess with her or her man, and deal with Gavin’s betrayal later.
Z: Oh, I’m the homewrecker? That’s rich, considering you didn’t even know who Bethany’s dad was before she was born!

In the scuffle of the two women fighting, Gavin made a speedy exit and ran back home with his tail between his legs. He didn’t really care about the outcome, he just wanted to be as far away as he could from the fiasco.
A: That should teach you, you trollop. Now I’m going to go home to MY husband and I better not hear about you going anywhere near him again.
