A: Hey, you filthy little homewrecker.
Athena was done with this, she had to take matters into her own hands. She would show this little tramp not to mess with her or her man, and deal with Gavin’s betrayal later.
Z: Oh, I’m the homewrecker? That’s rich, considering you didn’t even know who Bethany’s dad was before she was born!
A: You shut your whore mouth and get ready to catch these hands!
Z: Come at me, bitch!
In the scuffle of the two women fighting, Gavin made a speedy exit and ran back home with his tail between his legs. He didn’t really care about the outcome, he just wanted to be as far away as he could from the fiasco.
A: That should teach you, you trollop. Now I’m going to go home to MY husband and I better not hear about you going anywhere near him again.
G: One last thing before we go in.
Z: [huffs] What?
*smooch*
They didn’t realize their mistake. Gavin hadn’t noticed that she had followed him all the way from willow Creek. And she was PISSED.

G: Hey you. 😉
Z: Hey, long time, no see. Where have you been?
G: You know it’s difficult for me to get away Zoe. Especially since Bethany aged up, I need to be there to help out so Athena doesn’t get suspicious.
Z: Gavin, why are you even still with her? Why don’t you just leave her and we can-
G: I can’t Zoe! I just can’t!
Z: … ok, whatever.
G: Look, I’m sorry for shouting…let’s-let’s just forget it and enjoy our night out. I haven’t seen you in weeks.
Z: [still upset] Fine, let’s just go inside.
G: You are so beautiful.
He leaned in to kiss her, but she pushed him back.
Z: You really think you should do this? You two are still married.
G: I love you, not her. And she clearly doesn’t love me, so what are we really waiting for? Life is short, we might as well live while we can…
And from that day on, Gavin had a double life. He didn’t expect to get back together with Athena, he definitely didn’t expect the baby to be his, and he didn’t expect that this life he chose to live would be the death of him.
Z: Do you…maybe, want to…take this somewhere else?
G: God yes.
Zoe told him her feelings, that she’s had these feelings since they were kids in school, and Gavin, in his heartbroken state, opened his eyes and became infatuated with her. He told her he had been an idiot, that he had felt this way deep down, all along. And then he kissed her.
Z: So she just walked out? She didn’t even say goodbye?
G: Nope. She left a note on the dining table saying she was ‘staying at a friend’s house.’ Question is, which friend?
Z: Listen Gav, I realize that this may sound harsh, but you two really haven’t been married that long, and for her to be looking for it somewhere else already…I don’t know man, sounds to me like she’s not committed to this, and if I were you, which I’m not, I would leave her. She’s clearly happy with someone else.
G: [exhales] You’re right…
Z: I know it hurts Gav, but you’ll get past this. You’ll find someone who’s devoted to you, someone who appreciates you…someone who’s in love with you more than she loves herself…And who knows, maybe she’s been right next to you all along.
G: You’re ri-wait what?
Z: [blushes] Maybe she’s been right next to you your whole life…
10 months ago, after Athena left
Z: Hey Gavin! How’s my favorite ex-roomie?
G: Grrrrr.
Z: How about we watch some clouds like old times, and tell me what’s on your mind, oh Mr.Grumpy-pants.
G: [exhales] My wife and I-
Z: Wait, you got married without me?
G: Let me talk woman!
Z: Sorry.
G: My wife and I are having some problems. I’m pretty sure she’s cheating on me, but she says he’s just a friend…
He continued to tell her about his suspicions about Athena and Jacques’ relationship, and then about how their marriage fell apart. They talked until it became too hot to lay there anymore, so Zoe invited him inside to continue their chat.
